Integration system
An integration that removes manual data entry between systems
The same information is typed into two or three systems. Errors surface at month end, and the reconciliation is somebody's recurring afternoon.
Constraints that usually apply
- One system must be chosen as the source of truth, which is a business decision before a technical one
- Third-party APIs have quotas, and some have no API at all
- Historic data is inconsistent, so the mapping needs rules for the bad rows
- The integration has to be observable, because silent failure is worse than no integration
Stack
Architecture
- Scheduled and event-driven jobs on Azure Functions, one per flow
- Idempotency keys and a dead-letter store so nothing is lost or double-applied
- Field mapping held as configuration rather than code, so changes do not need a release
- Reconciliation dashboard in business language: synced, failed, and why
- Alerting to a channel a human actually reads

A realistic build timeline
- Weeks 1–2
Integration audit, source-of-truth decision, field mapping signed off.
- Weeks 3–5
Highest-volume flow built, running in parallel with the manual process.
- Weeks 6–8
Remaining flows, error handling, reconciliation dashboard.
- Weeks 9–10
Parallel run comparison, monitoring, runbook and handover.
Indicative only. Real dates come out of discovery, and they move when your side is short of time as often as when ours is.
What you own at handover
All of it, and from day one rather than at the end. If you replaced us mid-project you would lose momentum, not assets.
- Repository, deployment pipeline and configuration store
- Field mapping documentation
- Failure runbook with escalation steps
- Access to monitoring and alerting
Is this a real project? It is the kind of system we build. Here is exactly how we would approach yours.
